Hi, I’m Katharina,

a career changer into Cloud & DevOps with a background in art, music, production and care work.

Over the last year and a half I’ve been:

completing my AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CLF-C02) on Feb 2nd 2026
working on a simple Cloud-Music-Project to further develop my skills post studies
contributing to a self-organized study group for daily support, sharing of knowledge & resources post studies
learning and working hands-on with AWS, Linux basics, containerized services and CI/CD
completing a 14-month full-time Software Engineering program with a focus on Cloud (Masterschool), certificate received in Nov. 2025
doing a 320-hours full-time DevOps/Cloud internship (WeBeet) with real-world infrastructure and observability tasks for a mobile housing app
bringing in experience from creative projects, organizing work, documentation and support-focused roles

Tech Projects

DevOps / Cloud Intern (320 hours, full-time), Sep. - Nov. 2025

Worked with Docker-based services in a team environment
Designed and set up an observability stack:
- Metrics with Prometheus
- Dashboards with Grafana
- Logging with Loki
Troubleshot containerized services and runtime issues
Collaborated via GitHub:
- GitHub Issues for task tracking
- GitHub Projects (Kanban board)
- Pull Requests with mandatory reviews
Actively documented decisions, progress and changes directly in Issues and PRs to keep history transparent
CI/CD exposure via GitHub Actions:
- Read and adjusted existing YAML workflows
- Participated in pipeline discussions and debugging
Basic Infrastructure-as-Code exposure (Terraform concepts, reading and adapting configs)

High responsibility, clear communication, empathy, reliability, and structured support in stressful environments. 24/7 work-shift experience, first-aid courses. Worked with elderly and handicapped.

These experiences help me stay calm, organized and human-centered in technical work.
